We had been storing all of our knives in a drawer. All of our knives and fingers were protected by inexpensive plastic sheaths. Now we have this innovatively designed knife block. I didn't want the traditional knife block due to them being mostly unsanitary. I also didn't want to screw a magnetic knife rack onto my tiled backsplash. gorgeous knife block - functional and gorgeous. I especially like that the blades do not rub up against wood slots like most knife blocks. The magnets provide exactly enough power to hold the knife without it being hard to remove. Holds my scissors and steel too.

Ok this thing is awesome. I had the knife holder with he plastic sticks in it and it only lasted about a year or so before the sticks got bent and cut. I have several large knives and I think that was the problem with the plastic one, the smaller knives fit fine, but the larger ones just didn't fit well. This awesome knife holder takes up less space and and holds one knife per side, you can get two small knives on the side though they may not hang straight. The magnets are very strong and hold my largest and heaviest knives just fine. It spins to get to whatever knife you want, and you can see each knife to see which one you are grabbing(if you have the same handles in a normal knife block you never know which one you are grabbing). It looks beautiful.

We could not be happier with this - Its sturdy, beautifully made, and is a great conversation piece on the counter. I love everything about this knife holder: its looks, how it holds the knives and how easy they are to take on and off. The only thing I would warn a buyer of is that this unit sits up straight while a standard knife block sits at an angle. I can not put it under my cabinets a trade off I am willing to make to have such a great product.

The knife block is by far my favorite kitchen essential. At first I was afraid of how much space it would take but on the contrary, it saved us a ton of space. Its been super functional and it looks amazing. Kitchen essentials can become such eye sores but with the knife block, the aesthetics of our kitchen has been elevated. We are currently staying in an airbnb for 2 months and as heavy as that thing is, we took it with us (together with our knives of course). That's how much my husband and I need and love it.
